Netherlands, Groningen, December 20, 2024 — After nearly a decade of igniting startups, VentureLab North is concluding its operations, marking a strategic shift toward creating a more dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Northern Netherlands. On January 15, 2025, a new initiative, Innokite, is set to be announced at the MXT Conference.
VentureLab North’s Impact
Since its inception in 2015, VentureLab North has played a fundamental role in supporting early-stage entrepreneurs and encouraging innovation in the Northern Netherlands.
Through its signature Business Development Program, it has delivered tailored support, including weekly workshops and one-on-one mentoring, and introduced beneficial networking opportunities to over 300 prospective founders. These efforts have been a key factor in enabling the success of numerous startups, supporting the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the region.

As we celebrate the success of VentureLab North, it’s time to look ahead. The closing of VentureLab North sparks the launch for Innokite, a new initiative focused on empowering knowledge-intensive technology startups.
Launching in January 2025, Innokite will build upon VentureLab North’s legacy while addressing the evolving needs of the entrepreneurial community in the Northern Netherlands. It will provide the necessary support to inspire innovation and drive sustainable growth in an ever-changing market.
